Product Review: Soak & Float Shampoo Bar

Product Review: Soak & Float Shampoo Bar

Disclaimer: I do not sell this product and do not make any money off of reviewing this product, I just LOVE it!

I want to take a minute to rave about a product: Soak and Float shampoo bar!
So truth is I have super itchy dandruff in very specific spots on my scalp. I've tried everything; head and shoulders, t-gel, tar shampoo, tea tree shampoo, tea tree shampoo masks, essential oil combos, EVERYTHING! And NOTHING, I mean NOTHING, compares to this!

(Skip this part if you just want a review of the product not my wandering mind :D ) Let me spend a minute and tell you a little bit about how I discovered this product. I had heard of lush bath bombs from various youtube videos and reviews, and if you don't know what they are please go youtube them. I was on my staycation and they had a HUGE jetted tub and I wanted to try out the bath bombs while there. So I had Josh go pick one up on his way home from work one night. Boy was that an amazing experience, if you're interested I can post my experience with bath bombs! Anyways I began looking at more of Lush's products and I was not disappointed. I loved that they were all natural ingredients, didn't believe in animal testing, had a homemade feeling to them, etc, I just love all of that. Even though it's a chain business it feels very startup and wonderful. In my perusing thru their website I discovered the Superbalm and wanted to try it, but was kinda sticker shocked by the price. And you know how in between paycheck time we decided to hold off, FOR NOW. That's when I ventured onto the shampoo page and saw the solid shampoo bars and further down on that page saw the magical words "Soothing cade oil bar to calm sore or itchy scalps"! My scalp is certainly sore and itchy and at only $10.95 a bar, heck I could try this out.

(Ok now for the review) "What do I do with this" was the first thought I had, seriously I had to watch a video they have on their site instructing you on how to use know I've only been using it for 25 years...Anyways. So I lather it up and after only a little bit of the rubbing it is super bubbly. Now there is a slight smokey smell to the whole thing, not a bad smell, but it's there. So I rinse it out, finish my shower and start inspecting my scalp. All the spots that had been itchy, sensitive and painful even after normal shampoo were just GONE. I don't mean I had redness and irritation left it's like the dandruff disappeared, along with the pain, itchiness and redness. I'm not kidding or over exaggerating. It's been two weeks and it's not come back, and I haven't used a bit of conditioner on my hair because my hair isn't dry or brittle. So my review is 5 out of 5 stars, 100% would recommend this product to anyone.

Again the ingredients are pretty awesome (I copy, pasted directly from their site) because I can name most of them (how often can you do that?). The cade oil is what gives the smokey smell and the marigold petals are the orangey bits in the bar, and I have never found one in my hair so I think they wash off.

Fresh ingredients

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate , Water (Aqua) , Cade Oil (Juniperus oxycedrus) , Lavender Oil (Lavandula augustifolia) , Marigold Petals (Calendula officinalis) , Rose Petals (Rosa centifolia) , *Limonene , *Linalool , Fragrance .  *Occurs naturally in essential oils
Natural ingredients
Safe synthetics

And if dandruff or itchiness isn't your issue and you're just looking for some amazing hair and body products look at Lush's website. I've tried Soak & Float Shampoo Bar, Twilight Bath Bomb, Sex Bath Bomb, Blackberry Bath Bomb, The Comforter Bubble Bar, Tender is the Night Massage Bar and their Charity Pot Lotion all of which I would highly recommend.

If you do decide to try out their Shampoo Bars please please please buy one of the Tins for it. Because the bar is sort of like a bar of soap it can get slippery (a little) and I just feel like it would disintegrate sitting on a shelf staying wet, the tin (what it's in in the picture) keeps it contained.
