Liebster Award

I am thrilled to announce that I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by Gabby from Essentially Eclectic!!

Gabby is truly AWESOME!! She makes some amazingly crafty things on her blog. She's a wife, who's relocated from Arizona to Boston! She is Boston Strong!! I remember praying for Gabby and all of Boston when it happened but I don't know anyone in Boston personally and with the exclusion of two girls on my instagram account Gabby was the only person. I am so honored that she thought of me for this award.

So what exactly is a Liebster Award, you ask? Great question! First, Liebster is German for "sweetheart" or "dearest." The Liebster Award is given to up-and-coming blogs of less than 200 followers. Once you have been nominated for a Liebster award, your standard bloggy protocol is as follows:

  • Thank your nominator! Include a link back to their blog in your verbal hug :)
  • Answer the 11 questions given to you by your nominator
  • Post 11 facts about yourself
  • Nominate 5-11 {I've seen various numbers} other up-and-coming blogs with less than 200 followers for the award--no tag backs!
  • Come up with 11 questions for your nominees to answer
  • Let your nominees know you nominated them so they too can pass on the Liebe! {German for "Love"}
My 11 questions answered:
  1. Best book you've ever read? I have to say Harry Potter. I know typical answer, but when I was young I didn't want to live and reading Harry Potter (as crazy as this sounds) gave me something not only to look forward to reading and gave me an outlet (in a sense) for life.

  2.  Blog post/project you're most proud of? I'm not sure if I could pick a specific printable that I'm most proud of, that's hard; but, I do love all of my printables!

  3. Accomplishment you're most proud of? This will sound weird but my marriage. It's not a race I've run and finished, and I can't say I've done it perfectly or run the "race" well all the time but I work really hard at my marriage, as does my husband. It's the thing I'm the most dedicated to and everyday when I love my husband more is an accomplishment of sorts. After that would be my work as a nanny.

  4. Mac or Windows? I can't say I'm either. I always have used Windows but when I started using my iPhone (that does NOT make you an apple user however) I began to appreciate Apple. The icing on my apple cake came when I had to work on them and I fell in love with their ease and simplicity (I know shocking) so if I had money for a macbook it would be mine!

  5. Favorite childhood memory? There are quite a few, the first two that came to mind are waking my baby sister up by tickling her ears (I was bored and wanted something to do) and when my dad would send flowers to my classroom in elementary school! I mean huge bouquets of flowers and I'd show them off all day!

  6. Your biggest pet peeve? Disrespect! I hate youth today that don't respect a uniform, I hate being disrespected by anyone, and I truly hate the disrespect/hate shown to women and children who are abused!

  7. Best experience you've ever had traveling abroad? Or, if you've never been abroad, best vacation you've ever had? It's silly because by anyone elses imagination it couldn't have been that good, but going camping with my husband for our honeymoon has been my all time favorite!

  8. Beauty product you couldn't live without? Gah that's hard! Probably lotion...

  9. One thing you miss most about the 90s? haha can I say being a kid?

  10. Choose two different scoops of ice cream for one cone. What are they? Chocolate and Strawberry :D

  11. Something you've learned recently? My accomplishments don't need to matter to anyone but me.

11 facts about me
  1.   I can eat pizza everyday, and do as often as it's in the house. Don't believe me ask anyone who's ever lived with me :D
  2. I would go bare foot everywhere if I could. I take off shoes as soon as I walk in the door, at work (clearly I'm a nanny) and in the car.
  3. Josh and I said we wouldn't mind as many children as God will give us, but I think 8 sounds awesome. Yeah you think I'm crazy and wait til I have 1.
  4. I went from being an only child to having three siblings in three months. My dad remarried in April and my little sister was born in June. I now also have 3 brothers in law and a sister in law!
  5. My mother in law is my best friend, after my husband CLEARLY, but I can talk to her about pretty much anything.
  6. I wish I could craft and diy and I have all the tools but can't make my hands do what my brain tells them. I think they call that hand-eye corrdination.
  7. I have four tattoos, one I want covered up and one I want removed!
  8. I have moved a total of 11 times in my life already. I've lived in three states.
  9. I used to want to be a vet, 5th grade teacher, Social Studies teacher, detective, accountant, FBI criminal profiler. Now I just want to be home with my (future) children and take care of them!
  10. Josh and I will homeschool are children. Having been in public school my whole life I know the downfalls and the issues that come from it but I also know what life lessons I want/need my children to learn (how to work with others, how to stand up to peer pressure, etc) that I will find a way to teach my children. My main focus will always be their emotional, physical and mental well-being.
  11. I have a dvd collection of 250+
