Our Love Story

I wanted to take a few minutes to write out Joshua and I's love story. I have a lot of posts about our marriage, about our beliefs and a very very long post including our engagement letters, but that's only bits and pieces of my favorite love story.

Our first official picture as boyfriend & girlfriend!

The Beginning of Our Fairytale

Josh and I originally met in 2003, I was 13 and he was 16; it was crush at first sight. We snuck out at night because Josh being the oldest of five didn't have privacy. We were caught the third night, we promptly stopped talking until 2008.
The picture right after the ring!
I reached out to Josh via myspace (do you remember myspace?) and the very day I wrote him a message was the first time in 4 years that he got on. We met up that night and hung out for the next year or so. Around Thanksgiving of 2009, he went away to visit family and I realized how much I missed him. By November 29, we saw each other at least once a day. On December 21, 2009 he asked if he could kiss me. And on December 22, we officially began dating, with our first date at the Macaroni Grill.

Joshua and I knew quickly that we were headed to the altar. However, he took me by complete surprise when he proposed to me on July 23, 2010! I was shocked, overwhelmed and no it's not the biggest ring or the most grand proposal but I love it all the more because it's MINE! We were now officially in wedding planning season. Oh me-oh my! We went on lots of dinner dates, tried lots of food and just enjoyed each other. During this time we read lots of marriage and relationship books, the list is here

October 22, 2011
Any couple can't forget the day they were married, I'm no exception. It was a beautiful day, I felt like a princess. My groom and I stood before God and vowed to stay true to one another through everything! I was 21, Josh was 24. We're VERY young, but we know how hard that promise is, and we know how hard we're willing to work.
