Recipe: Homemade Preztels

Homemade Pretzels
Homemade Pretzels
1 pkg dry yeast
1.5 cups water (115 degrees)
1 tbl sugar
1 tsp sugar
4 cups flour
2 egg beaten
Course salt

Preheat oven to 425 degrees
1. Dissolve yeast in water at 115 degrees. Mix in sugar and salt.
2. Add 3 cups flour, feel dough. The dough shouldn't be too resistant (to much flour) or too sticky (to little flour). Add next cup flour as needed. (In my experience you will need 1/2 - 3/4 of that cup)
3. Knead for 5-8 min
4. Roll out and shape into preztels on a lined sheeted (parchment paper)
5. Dip in egg (The original recipe called for just brushing the egg on, but i like the overall coating, plus I didn't have a brush haha)
6. Bake at 425 for 12-14 min
